Comments Settings for Blogger : Blogspot Basics
Let us have a look how would you like to setup your comment settings for blogger. Go to Settings > Comments tab to configure it.
Comments: Select “Show” to show the comments in each posts. Select “Hide” if you want to hide the existing comments, it will not delete the old comments.
Who Can Comment: Select specifically who can comment to your posts.
Comment Form Placement: Select the type of comment form you want.
Full page - opens a new tab (window)
Pop-up window – a pop-up window will appear
Embedded below post – better known as inline comment form for blogger
Comments Default for Posts: The options are
“New Posts have Comments” which will automatically add the comment option to “Allow” as default for each and every post that you will publish, in your post editor.
“New Posts Do Not Have Comments” will “Disallow” the commenting option by default.
Backlinks: Show or hide backlinks for each posts.
Backlinks Default for Posts: you may like to read the help file about backlinks for posts.
Comments Timestamp Format: Set the format you want to have the date and time for the comments.
Comment Form Message: Write a massage here if you want to show it just before your comment form.
Comment moderation: If you want to review the comments before publishing it, then turn the option to “Allow”. It will be seen in your blogger dashboard. If you want to review the comments after certain number of days then set the second option “Only on posts older than (no. of days)”.
If you don’t want any moderation to your comments then select “Never”. You may like to enter the email address of yours so that whenever anyone leaves a comment, you will receive an update to your mail box.
Show profile images on comments: If you want to show the profile images of the commenter within the comments of your blog posts in Blogger, then turn this option to “Yes”.
Comment Notification Email: Whenever anyone leaves a comment to your blog, you will receive an email update. Enter your email address if you have selected to never to moderate comments for your blog. It comes handy if someone has posted a SPAM comment.
At last, save your settings.
